Purpose:

Resume the full Housing planned maintenance programme for both 20/21 and 21/22. These were approved at cabinet on 20/02/2020 and 18/02/2021 respectively. Safe systems of work have been established in line with government guidance.

Financial/staffing/health & safety (incl virus transmission risks)/service delivery impacts/other risks and impacts considered:
We have been working closely with Health & Safety and Public Health colleagues to establish updated risk assessment and method statements. This will allow the work to be carried out safely for both operatives and tenants.
Those shielding will be given the opportunity to opt out of the programme and be reinstated at a later date.

Equality Impacts:
None

Decision:

To resume all planned capital programmes that have been delayed due to covid restrictions as approved at council in February 2020 & February 2021.

Reason: Work programme agreed by Council and further delays are resulting in an increase in costly repairs where the products have reached their end of life.
