09/09/2022 - To enter into the Bus Enhanced Partnership Plan and Scheme ref: 1513    Recommendations Approved

TVCA has worked closely with stakeholders including the Tees Valley local authorities, local bus operators, neighbouring authorities, statutory consultees, businesses and the public (both bus users and non-users) to prepare an Enhanced Partnership Plan and accompanying Enhanced Partnership Scheme, in accordance with section 138F of the Transport Act 2000.

Both the EP Plan and Scheme are closely aligned with the Tees Valley Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) and will make a substantial contribution to the implementation of the proposed changes to bus operation across the Tees Valley.

Both the Plan and Scheme will bring benefits to passengers using local bus services across the Tees Valley by improving the quality and efficiency of the public transport network. This will support the efficient use of the road network and the delivery of sustainable growth, limiting the impacts of additional traffic congestion and air pollution.

The five themes of the plan are, Decarbonisation, Fares, Customer Experience, Infrastructure and Network.
