BT Openreach are rolling out fibre broadband
to replace existing copper and improve broadband speeds in
Darlington. To do this in Horsemarket they propose to run a short
length of fibre cable up the front wall of 7/8 Horsemarket to a
small junction box and they have requested a wayleave. Openreach
have confirmed that they have statutory powers for this and they
will enforce the installation if we refuse to grant a wayleave by
agreement. The wayleave is terminable in the event of
redevelopment.
