Government guidance on where members of the
public will have to wear face coverings has been updated to include
libraries and museums from 8 August 2020.

Government guidance states that in settings where face coverings are required in England, there are some circumstances, health, age or equality reasons, where people are not expected to wear face coverings.
To implement wearing of face coverings inside
Libraries and Head of Steam from 8 August 2020 to adhere to
Reason: To adhere to updated Government guidance to protect public health.
Due to Government guidance that face coverings
will be required from 8 August 2020 in libraries and museums, no
alternative options were considered.
