The Borough of Darlington is divided into two constituencies - Darlington for the Urban area and Stockton West for part of the Rural area (Hurworth, Sadberge and Middleton St. George). The last Parliamentary Elections were held on 4 July 2024.

MP's are elected for a term of office of up to five years and are elected to serve the community for which they serve.
