Consequential amendments to the constitution
in light of the Council no longer having a Sustainable Community
Strategy
At the Cabinet meeting of 1 June 2021 it was agreed that as a
result of a change in circumstances the Sustainable Community
Strategy (SCS) will cease to be used as a strategic lead for the
Borough. It was further agreed that amendments to the constitution
reflecting this change would need to be made and Luke Swinhoe,
Assistant Director, Law and Governance was delegated to make these
changes.
Implementation Date
1 June 2021
That authority be delegated to the Assistant
Director, Law and Governance to make consequential amendments to
the constitution.
Reasons for the Decision(s)
The new approach requires amendments to the constitution with
regard to the removal of the Sustainable Community Strategy from
it.
A paper considered at Cabinet explored other
options.
