Request for contract extension to Making Space
for the provision of personal care and domestic support for tenants
in extra care housing for a period of 24 months.
The original OJEU procurement exercise was carried out in 2013 with
a start date of April 2014. The initial contract term was 6 years
with an option to extend for 2 x 24 month periods.
The current contract is continuing to provide value for money and
there are no issues. The service supports the Council in avoiding
/delaying admissions to residential care.
That the contract be extended for a period of
24 months on the current terms of the contract.
The contract is providing value for money and is providing an
essential support service to the Council.
