Purpose:

To support the back lane and fly tipping project, additional resources are required (1 crew: 2 staff and 1 vehicle) to provide a responsive service to build confidence in the local communities in the targeted areas.
The additional resource will be available for 3 months, July to September 2020 and will be funded from the Street Scene Futures Fund budget.


Decision:

To prvide additional crew for back lanes and fly tipping in order to provide reassurance to local communities.

Alternative options considered:

Don’t introduce additional resource. This was discounted.
For this project to succeed, need to build the confidence of residents that the Council will response to problems in a timely manner.
