Report of the Head of Education and Inclusions Children, Families and Learning

The Head of Education and Inclusions, Children and Families and Learning submitted a report (previously circulated) requesting that consideration be given to a recommendation on an application received to fill a vacancy for a Local Authority (LA) Governor on a School Governing Body.

The Panel were advised that the vacant position for the Governor of Whinfield Primary School had not been filled following the resignation of the previous LA Governor approximately four months ago due to Purdah and therefore the process for seeking nominations for the vacancy could not be progressed.

It was reported that following Purdah, an expression of interest was put forward by Councillor Bartch.

RESOLVED – That, subject to the Disclosure and Barring Checking process, the following appointment be made for a term of four years commencing on the date specified:
