Update by the Executive Director of Place Based Delivery (Designate) - Central and Tees Valley, North East and North Cumbria ICB
Minutes:
The Executive Director of Place Based Delivery Central and Tees Valley provided an update to the Board on the Integrated Care System.
Members were informed that Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) ceased to exist on 30 June 2022; the 8 CCGs in the North East and North Cumbria merged to become the North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board (NENC ICB); and the ICB met for the first time on 1 July 2022, where the terms of reference and governance arrangements were agreed.
It was noted that further discussions were ongoing in relation to place based working and governance arrangements; that each ICB would have an Integrated Care Partnership (ICP); due to the size of the NENC ICB, there would be four sub ICP’s alongside the ICP; and that recruitment to the ICB was ongoing.
RESOLVED – That the thanks of the Board be conveyed to the Executive Director of Place Based Delivery Central and Tees Valley for his informative update.
REASON – To convey the views of the Board.
