Naming of streets on a new housing development
off Neasham Road, Darlington which is to be built by Darlington
Borough Council.
Street names suggestions are Arthur Wharton Lane, Butterfield
Drive, Craven Drive, Brebner Drive.
It had previously been agreed with Councillor Dulston and Dave
Winstanley that a street should be named after Arthur Wharton as
part of black history month (announcement has already been made).
The other names are all notable sportsmen who are from
Darlington.

Renaming of part of Clifton Road West Back

Two new properties are to be built on the back lane, Clifton Road
West Back is not an appropriate street name for addressing
purposes. As the back lane is accessed easily from Henderson Street
it is proposed to name it as a continuation of Henderson
Street.
