Under Regulation 5 of the Local Authorities (Executive Arrangements) (Meetings and Access to Information (England) Regulations 2012 the Council is required to give 28 days’ notice if it intends to hold a meeting of the Cabinet in private or partly in private. This is required on occasions where there is a report which contains information exempt from publication. The public may make representations about why the meeting should be held in public. To make a representation, please contact lynne.wood@darlington.gov.uk in writing or by phone on (01325) 405803 at least 6 working days before the meeting date. The Council is required to make a statement in response to any representations made for an exempt report to be considered in public.
