The Tees Valley Combined Authority (TVCA) was created in April 2016, with the purpose of driving economic growth and job creation in the area. It is a partnership of five authorities; Darlington, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Redcar & Cleveland and Stockton-on-Tees, working closely with the business community and other partners to make local decisions to support the growth of our economy. The CAM chairs meetings of the Combined Authority.
On the 4th May 2017, the people of the Tees Valley, including Darlington, elected the first CAM for the Tees Valley.
